Choosing the right discs is not easy. And although rim parameters are sometimes described on the inside of the rim, the description is often incomplete or illegible. Incorrectly selected parameters can lead to faster wear of the suspension. We must be moderate when choosing the width of the rims. Also, do not forget to pay attention to the engine power of our vehicle.

Offset, also called ET or offset, is related to the width of the rim. This is the distance from the mounting surface to the center of the rim, expressed in millimeters. As the offset value decreases, the rims protrude further. On the other hand, the increase in ET puts the wheel deeper into the wheel arch.
Of course, the disks shouldn't be too small either. If we choose such discs, their inner part will rub against the brake disc. If you look at the diameter of the rim, then it cannot be too small either, it must fit the brake disc and brake caliper. We can easily put a bigger hoop in place of the smaller one. This gives the impression of larger wheels, although the outer diameter of the tires will not increase. Such treatments can be used with wheels with low profile tires - with a low sidewall. Remember, however, that large rims and low tires impair driving comfort and in many cases increase fuel consumption.
