It makes the most sense if you are going to do the work in your car, you wear work clothes or clothes that you no longer need, and that way you don't have to worry about getting dirty. However, engine oil stains on clothing can be removed.

Clothes should only be washed as quickly as possible, as the fresher the stain, the easier it is to remove. Use the maximum temperature allowed for the fabric as indicated on the clothing label and the dosage of your chosen detergent for very dirty clothing.

Here we will tell you an effective way to remove engine oil stains from clothes.

– Choose the correct detergent for the color and type of fabric.

– Scrape off as much oil as possible.

– Wash clothes at the maximum temperature allowed, using a heavily soiled dose of the selected detergent.

– Check if the stain is gone.

– If not, repeat the first and second steps, then soak the clothes in warm water mixed with detergent for a couple of hours and wash again.

To scrape oil off clothing, use a plastic spoon or a dull knife to remove as much oil from clothing as possible. Avoid rubbing grease into clothing as this can aggravate the stain.

If you repair your car regularly, it's best to have a detergent on hand that will break down the stain and help you get rid of it completely.
