We met surprisingly quickly, and I have to admit that the ZX 6R is truly forgiving. If I was still chasing him and pushing the gas, he didn't mind. Even more. When I overestimated my abilities several times and when I was avenged for my ignorance of the Malaysian path, he reacted very calmly to my nervousness.

In just twenty minutes, I knew the answer that had been circulating in my head since I arrived in Asia. Is the revised 636 cubic foot Green four-cylinder as lively and immersive as reading the numbers in its specs? The answer is more than positive. In driving, it seemed to me significantly smaller, lighter and sportier than its more versatile predecessor.

"Technology in the people"

Since its presentation this fall, I expected it to be very different from its 1995 predecessor. With a pair of sharp-edged headlights, an air intake between them and a 41mm USD front fork, it looks pretty aggressive.

But above all, mention should be made of its front brake caliper fitted to the Grand Prix. Even the motor properties are not flies. As many as 125 "horses" are capable of 13 rpm. The generator is also a real star. It loves to spin, so its power in the higher range is impressive.

There are two long planes on the Sepang race track that I could easily hit 240 kilometers per hour with the shrill roar of the Kawo engine, although I could add another 30. Fuel injection worked flawlessly, but it was necessary to maintain speed for optimal ride. revs above 9000. Below this limit, the new ZX-6R handles, but not to the same extent as its predecessor, whose engine was better than average.

The sporty nature of the unit and acceleration can be a little annoying in everyday driving, as can the moderately precise drivetrain. The standard suspension fully meets the requirements.

Few motorcyclists will miss their big brother with the new ZX-6R. Many will enthusiastically embrace the new sporty and exciting Kawaski, which is a serious contender for the crown in the middle class athlete class.
