Bjorn Nyland had the opportunity to ride the pre-production Kia EV6 GT Line, a D-segment electric combo / shooting brake with a 77,4 kWh battery and two engines with a total output of 239 kW (325 hp). The car was tested in Germany, in a fairly heavy traffic around Frankfurt and in rainy weather. Initial conclusion? I think he liked it.

Kia EV GT Line – impressions and a quick test

The first surprise of the tester was the silence in the cabin. Even at a speed of 140-150 km / h, the interior of the car seemed soundproofed. Nyland liked the way the car drove and also learned that the Kia EV6 had a slightly different suspension set-up from the Hyundai Ioniq 5 close to him. The car was comfortable, he even linked the Audi e-tron GT and Porsche Taycan models with air suspension.

Regenerative braking (regenerative) allows energy recovery up to 150 kW. Youtuber appreciated the choice between driving with only one accelerator pedal (driving with one pedal) or using the brake, as in an internal combustion car. During the trip, the average power consumption was 27 kWh / 100 km, but there were many acceleration tests and experiments at speeds above 160 km / h, so you shouldn't take it personally:

Of the cars that will be released this year, Kia EV6 77 kWh with rear wheel drive is the first choice model for the editors of www.elektrowoz.pl. Thanks to a promising very good price / performance ratio, body-to-boot type and 800V installation, we are only surprised that the car in August 2021, a few months before the start of deliveries, is still presented using a prototype.
