Kim Kardashian has turned the luxurious Lamborghini Urus into a fashion statement. The socialite upholstered the car with a white plush fabric, which shocked subscribers on social networks.

Car customization is a hobby where imagination is the only limit. Matte finishes, colored vinyl, and creepy neon lights have all been a popular craze at one time or another. Of course, if you do something completely pointless, you may be ridiculed.

Luxury SUV turned into a marketing campaign

The vehicle under the pile is Lamborghini controls, the first SUV from the Italian automaker. The entire car, inside and out, was wrapped in a white fleecy cloth. similar to the one worn by Kardashian's own clothing brand SKIMS. It appears to be a prop for a marketing campaign where a famous influencer took part in a photo shoot with a car wearing SKIMS parts made from the right material. The interior, in particular, looks quite cozy, although closing the airbag in this way is not a very smart move.

The fit and finish is not exactly top-notch. In particular, the wheel covers appear to have been cut off by children. The front stem also appears to have been wrapped in a rush, and the fabric didn't make much of an effort to follow the contours of the car. In fact, there are exactly zero cutouts for air to enter the engine compartment.

Why would it be a bad idea to coat your car in this way?

This is a good idea, although there are several reasons why such a mod might not be suitable for your own car. Roads are dirty and dirty places. Other vehicles that kick up dirt, sand, and rocks quickly turn a snow-white car into a muddy brown. To make matters worse, any puddles or rain will seep through the fabric cover, making the furry car look and probably smell like a wet dog. All that water soaked in will also add a bit of weight, and the driver and passengers will most likely get wet as they get out of the car.

With the grille intakes closed, the 5.2-liter V10 engine is unlikely to be able to run for long without overheating in such conditions.. There is also the possibility that the carbon from the exhaust will quickly leave an unsightly black spot on the rear end. Since the wheels are also covered in cloth, brake dust and dirt will soon ruin the look.

It might only be useful for quick fashion shows, but the car's sheer impracticality did a great job of drawing attention to the brand. We're willing to bet the car will be stripped of its fluffy fur before the end of the month, and soon it'll be running stock or sold. If you insist on an unconventional wrap for your car, leather may be a better option.. Just keep all vents open and make sure you park in a covered area.
