When you're stuck in the snow

When you're stuck in the snow In Poland, snow falls several dozen days a year. Driving in the winter when it snows is a challenge for every driver and a constant challenge for even the most experienced drivers. Renault driving school instructors give advice on what to do if you get stuck in the snow.

In winter, during snowfall, we are at risk of burrowing into the snow almost every day: when parking, in a situation When you're stuck in the snowskidding and many other daily maneuvers, especially in less frequented areas, warns Zbigniew Veseli, director of the Renault driving school.

If you get stuck in the snow, start by moving the wheels from side to side to clear the snow. Do not add gas if the wheels are spinning in place, as the machine may dig deeper. Try clearing the snow in front of the wheels and covering the area with gravel or sand, for example, to improve traction. Cat litter also works very well. Then you should smoothly move forward, backward and - with the help of a small amount of gas - get out of the snowdrift.

If this does not help, and you are far from populated areas, it is better to stay in the car and call for help. Therefore, before you go on a trip, charge your phone and, if you are going on a long journey, take water and something to eat with you. You may have to wait a long time, so when you continue your journey, make sure the tank is full to keep it warm. Always, even if we go for a short time, through several streets, do not forget to take warm clothes, a jacket and gloves. We don't have to be stuck in a snowdrift outside the city to let them through. Enough of an accident or a car breakdown, and we can be immobilized in the middle of the city, stress the coaches of the Renault driving school.
