Ergonomics certainly deserves an excellent mark. It sits well on hard seats, there is enough space both in the front and in the back, in length, width and height, the side supports can be at least a little larger, and this is also normal. I am having more trouble understanding the latest UI of the central display UI. First of all, the main display on the home screen provides little information and is less user-friendly than I am used to with Volkswagen Group models so far. But now Ateca understands speech too. By greeting, Hola Hola begins to eagerly accept voice commands. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can also connect to your phone wirelessly. Finally.

Just as you can contactlessly open and close a spacious and neat trunk (with a kick under the rear bumper). At Seat, this feature is called the virtual pedal, which, together with an efficient and easy-to-use parking assistant for automatic parking, a navigation system with Europe mapping, winter package, digital cockpit and metallic paint in a package. Anyone looking for an Xperience package, however, will want to drive at least along a dug forest trail. And in this case, knowing that all-wheel drive means some useful self-confidence. But on dry pavement, front wheel grip rarely yielded to this TDI's elegantly executed torque.

Driving with the Ateca is, of course, fully consistent with the cleanliness of the vehicle. This means exemplary and precise steering, a well-balanced steering gear and, despite a higher center of gravity, a secure position on the road. The engineers managed to achieve this. In addition, suspension strength and shock absorption have become increasingly popular lately, which, when combined with 18-inch wheels, which have rather low thighs, which means there will be quite a bit of discomfort in the cabin when the ground is less tidy. Unfortunately, this is true for most roads in our country, especially in urban conditions and after winter, when the asphalt is completely damaged.

So instead of softness, the Ateca relies on the rigidity of the chassis, which shows up in the corners with minimal high body lean, and live content won't accept this forever - except perhaps for an exuberant driver.

The adventurous character of the Xperience, which is revealed by a different grille, accentuated by silvery sills, plastic fender liners and lower front bumper, could otherwise be attributed to the chassis' adaptability to bumps and (soft) rollback. -Road. Perhaps this would have been different already in the lower equipment version, where the wheels are smaller by an inch. The automatic transmission is a great choice, but 4drive is definitely worth considering.
