Short test: Volkswagen Up! GTI
This is enough to take a lot of people seriously. In fact, many connoisseurs have enough to combine the Volkswagen brand and the GTI label. However, the fact that it is installed on their smallest machine is really not that important. Of course, what is more important is the purpose for which the machine will be used. Family Use Up! of course not suitable, with such a baby most often they go alone or in pairs. And if the baby is fast, agile and well-built, the choice is really easy.
So Volkswagen's decision to include the legendary GTI designation in the smallest class is understandable. As mentioned, marks and trademarks mean a lot to some because they give them some sort of certification, if not a guarantee.
Little Up! There is nothing special. Small, cute and fast, what a GTI should be. From the city, not above average, but at 196 kilometers per hour, the final speed will be too fast for many.
The list of accessories for the tested toddler included only white with a black roof, automatic air conditioning, a drive package and a Beats audio system. As a result, the price of the car has grown by only a good thousand, which is really a rarity in the modern automotive world. Although it is certainly true that the smaller the car, the cheaper the accessories. However, test Up! a good thousand more than a real GTI. The exterior is further enhanced by GTI trim, chrome tailpipe and rear spoiler; if you add alloy wheels and red brake calipers, for many it will feel like a fairy tale. The GTI impression continues on the inside.
The red instrument panel and red stitching on the steering wheel accentuate the sportiness, as does the sporty gear lever. And since we are talking about Volkswagen, it should be emphasized right away that the lever is not for decoration, but does its job satisfactorily. It moves quickly and accurately, so driving with your toddler can easily be dynamically fast. It is clear that mainly young people will pay attention to such a machine, and the ability to connect to the Internet is also important for them. Even with her Up! does not disappoint. What's more, through a smartphone, the user can access a wealth of vehicle information, download navigation folders and clearly play music on the superb Beats audio system.
However, the trip is not always youthful. Up! The GTI also drives pretty decently, calmly and slowly, and it turns out to be a turbocharged liter petrol engine that already needs five liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers.

Volkswagen Up! The GTI is sure to appeal to all sports enthusiasts, especially young ones who are just starting to drive a car. However, the car is big enough that even older drivers who don't need a big car will not mind it. Either not because they travel with him only around the city or alone, or with one passenger.
