KTM Superduke 990

Of course, KTM has not changed the formula for success, which has been well received by experienced riders, who are the only “hand in hand” who can offer what the bike as a whole has to offer. The Superuke 990 is so radical that it may not suit everyone, and as KTM executives assure us, its goal is not even to satisfy the general public.

Well, nevertheless, the new Superduke is more user-friendly. Power in the compact two-cylinder LC8 grows more pleasantly, smoother and with even more torque. Even the sound with the standard exhaust system sings deeper and more decisively when gas is added. They achieved this with a new cylinder head and a new electronic fuel injection unit. And with all this, they have already modified it with a good frame and chassis, which reflects on the road with extreme ease and precise handling both in corners and in the plane.

We even tested it at the Spanish racetrack Albacete, where the combination of a great frame and engine improvements really came to the fore. He still shows some restlessness when riding a rough motorcycle, but nothing that an experienced motorcyclist would not be able to handle. In short, the only pure adrenaline-filled pleasure is when your knee rubs against the asphalt!

With truly excellent build quality and using only the finest components on the bike, it was hard to find any noteworthy outrage. With a new larger fuel tank we were taken away, another reason to scold. Now you can drive a slightly longer circle around your favorite bends without stopping at gas stations.
