Low beam lamp for Renault Duster

Dipped beam is the basis of Renault Duster mnemonics. This type of lighting indicates to other vehicles that your vehicle is on the road. In addition, it illuminates the road for 30-50 (m) in poor visibility conditions or at night. Renault Duster headlights have a solid level of reliability, but there are still a number of situations when the Duster low beam needs to be replaced.

When do light bulbs need to be replaced?

  1. The light source just burned out
  2. The vehicle owner does not like the type of light (Renault Duster uses halogen)
  3. The driver does not like the intensity of the light (Renault Duster dipped beam lamps are Philips H7 lamps + 30%)

Many drivers of a French compact crossover prefer to use a more intense light source as their low beam. Most often, they change their native Renault Duster dipped beam to the closest analogue in front of the Philips H7 + 130% (pictured). Such lighting is brighter and more expressive. More intense light perfectly illuminates both dry and snowy roads.

You should immediately pay attention to the moment when brand lamps are most often sold as a set, that is, there are 2 bulbs in one box. Experts recommend changing the light bulb if it burns out in both block headlights at once. Therefore, it will provide the most uniform and high-quality lighting for your Renault Duster. Low beam, base and rubber stopper - that's all that stands in your way to the necessary lighting.

The process of changing the near mnemonic

  • We turn off the car
  • Opening the hood
  • Disconnect battery terminals

Note that some experts also recommend unscrewing the battery retaining bar and pulling out the battery. This moment will allow you to better and more conveniently crawl to the beacon block. But many car enthusiasts miss this point and even with a battery on board make changing lights quick and easy.

  • Remove the rubber plug from the low beam

  • Some drivers remove the cartridge along with the light bulb. But if the dipped beam bulb changes on the Renault Duster, that is, only the light source changes, then this technological operation can be skipped
  • We pull the block with wires and the lamp is perfectly removed (attached with a spring clip)

  • We put a new light source in place of the old light source

Please note that the low beam lamp on the Duster is halogen. This means that the glass is very sensitive to dirty or greasy fingers. The new lamp is best handled with medical gloves. If there are traces of talc on the glass (from gloves), it is better to remove them with a special alcohol wipe (it does not leave lint and traces of stains).

  • Assemble the headlight assembly in reverse order
  • Checking how the new lighting works
  • All previous operations are carried out with the optical group on the opposite side
