The Range Rover Velar Edition returns to the lineup. The special edition includes invisible black exterior accents, 20-inch gloss black wheels and a sliding panoramic sunroof, and adds a new HST-exclusive Arroios Gray body color.
The Land Rover Range Rover Velar is great. It's been since it was released. Now, though, it may have reached new heights with Thursday's announcement of a new HST trim level for the mid-range model.
What the HST version adds to the Range Rover
If HST sounds familiar, it's because it was used on the Evoque and Range Rover Sport models. It is based on the R-Dynamic S and adds several standard option packages, notably the Black Exterior Package and a contrasting black roof. You also get the optional exclusive Arroios Grey, as well as gloss black 21-inch wheels and privacy glass. The overall aesthetic is very, very good.
Land Rover adds more comfort and luxury to the interior
Inside, everything is beautiful too, with the addition of a black suede headliner and steering wheel, as well as a sliding panoramic roof. Comfort is provided by Land Rover's Electronic Air Suspension with Adaptive Dynamics, which, as its name suggests, adapts to road conditions and driver input for an enjoyable ride.
395 hp engine
The Velar HST is available exclusively with a 395 horsepower Ingenium six-cylinder mild-hybrid gas engine. It's also available exclusively in the UK and North American markets, so the rest of the world will have to work hard to contain their envy.
