Lexus LH off-road. Stylistic changes

Lexus LH off-road. Off-road equipmentThe off-road version is slightly different from the off-road variants known from competitors' offerings. Quite a lot has changed here compared to other options, and the choice of this edition really affects the off-road capabilities of the Lexus LX. But let's start with the exterior - how to get acquainted with the Lexus LX in the Offroad version?

The described car has a predatory style and darker colors. Matte and black are, among other things, the grille, fender flares, side steps along the car, mirror caps and a decorative strip around the windows. The 18-inch wheels are also finished in black lacquer. Why aren't they larger? Because while proper presence is important, the Offroad variant is supposed to be able to move efficiently in the field where a higher tire profile is even a must.

Lexus LH off-road. Lock to the power of three

It's not just tires that affect how you drive your Lexus off-road. The Offroad version is equipped with three differentials, the operation of which we can control depending on the needs. The key here is the ability to lock the front, rear and center differentials. This is a set of features that greatly improve the characteristics of the terrain. The mechanical, reliable solution built into thoroughbred off-road vehicles allows you to confidently move through swampy terrain, overcome steep and slippery slopes, and also maneuver on surfaces with very low grip, such as snow or sand.

Lexus LH off-road. Mechanical solutions and digital systems

Lexus LH off-road. Off-road equipmentThe Lexus LX handles off-road terrain without stuttering in its standard version, and while much of that has to do with design and proven solutions, the car is full of modern solutions and systems that allow for bold driving in a variety of conditions. There are a number of systems on board to make off-road driving easier. Among them, it is worth mentioning the Multi-Terrain Select system, which allows you to select the optimal drive mode, or the Crawl Control system, which controls the crawl speed, for example, on rocky terrain or when driving through mud. The solutions found under the hood also ensure that you are ready to drive in difficult conditions. Components are protected from splashes and dust, and the lubrication system of the 3.5-liter V6 engine remains fully operational even when the vehicle is tilted 45 degrees to either side.

While the new Lexus LX has even more amenities and luxury on board, the exit, entrance and ramp angles remain the same as the previous model. With the new flagship SUV, Lexus has once again focused on the best possible combination of comfort and off-road capability. The work of designers and engineers had a positive impact on safety, and allowed to reduce the curb weight by more than 200 kilograms.
