Light Rider: Airbus' 3D printed electric motorcycle

The Light Rider, manufactured by APWorks, a subsidiary of the Airbus group, is the world's first electric motorcycle built using a 3D printer. Its production will be limited to 50 pieces.

Equipped with a 6 kW electric motor, the Light Rider announces a top speed of 80 km / h and accelerates from 0 to 45 km / h in just three seconds. Thanks to the use of lightweight materials in its construction, the Light Rider weighs only 35 small kilograms, which is much less than the over 170 kilograms of the Zero Motorcycles line.

While APWorks does not list the capacity of the lithium-ion battery used to power the Light Rider, the company claims a range of 60 kilometers and uses a plug-in unit.
