Dogs are more likely to travel with people these days than ever before. After all, what dog doesn't ride in a car? However, as a breeder and trainer, you are probably more likely to take dogs with you than most other people. You might even transport multiple dogs at once from time to time – like puppies heading to the vet for their first vaccinations?

We've looked at a number of characteristics that can be important to a dog breeder and trainer and have identified five of the most popular used vehicles. These are Honda Element, Ford F150, Ford Escape Hybrid, Range Rover Sport HSE and Subaru Outback.

  • Honda Element: Element has been very popular since its first release in 2006. It has a cargo space of 74.6 cubic feet, so it has enough room for dogs. It also offers a dog-specific package that includes a moisture-proof water bowl, a foldable dog ramp, specially patterned seat covers, and "dog bone" floor mats.

  • F: You'll appreciate this gorgeous pickup truck from Ford with its roomy interior, which makes it very easy to buckle up your dog(s). You can also take quite a lot of gear with you and maybe a few kennels in the back for training at the end of your business. Of course, as a breeder and trainer, you know not to force a dog to ride in the back of a truck, even if it is in a kennel.

  • Ford Escape Hybrid: This is a very economical car with 34/31 mpg. If your operation requires a lot of back and forth movements, this setting may be ideal for you. You will also find that it has a range of aftermarket dog accessories available.

  • Land Rover Range Rover Sport HSE: The Range Rover Sport is a solid high-end SUV that is slightly smaller than the regular Range Rover. However, don't let its size fool you - it's just as rugged as the larger Range Rovers and still offers plenty of room to haul. The only drawback is that it is expensive, even used, and not so common.

  • Subaru Outback: The Outback is large enough for most breeders and trainers, with a cargo space of 71.3 cubic feet. Standard all-wheel drive will get you where you need to go, even in inclement weather. We also really like the durable upholstery - it is very resistant to bumps and scratches.

All five of these vehicles are extremely practical and also great for the active lifestyles of most dogs, as well as their human companions.
