But there are also quite expensive models, the cost of which starts from 20-30 thousand. It is clear that when purchasing an expensive DVR, you hope that it will serve at least 5 years. Accordingly, such expensive models are sold out less often, as they are very reliable.

Mio Mi Vue 765
All Mio DVRs belong to the middle price range, while they are of high quality, and the MiVue 765 model can be called one of the most balanced in the family. With a reasonable recommended retail price of 7999 rubles, the registrar has a number of interesting features:
- state-of-the-art Sony sensor for excellent night video quality
- video recording in Full HD resolution;
- touch screen
- five-lens lens with a 130-degree field of view and f/1.8 aperture;
- GPS-sensor with base of traffic cameras;
- the ability to connect a rear view camera.

MiVue 765 received fast optics with f / 1.8 aperture, which ultimately gives less noise on video at dusk and at night. The second strong point is the Sony matrix with a very clear picture, in which small details, such as car numbers, do not crumble into compression artifacts at a distance of 4-5 meters at any time of the day and under any weather conditions.
The recorder has a stylish design, medium dimensions and low weight, it is easy to hide it behind the saloon mirror, but it is better to keep the MiVue 765 in sight - a large 2.7-inch touchscreen display shows speed, distance to radars stored in the updated database, and warnings about speeding on the selected value.
The device is attached to the glass on a large suction cup, the hinge allows you to quickly turn the registrar into the cabin when talking with a police officer.
With the help of a 2MP camera, it is possible to take pictures both while the car is moving in the process of video recording, and while parking through the device menu.
The MiVue 765 does not have expensive features like Wi-Fi, but it is possible to connect an optional rear view camera.
AdvoCam FD8 Red II
As sales statistics for many electronics stores show, it was this model that received the highest score in user reviews. This registrar costs in different stores ranging from 6300 to 7500 rubles. That is, this is a budget camera with a minimum set of functions:
- Weight 76 grams, compact dimensions;
- Mounted on a suction cup;
- Recording can be configured both in continuous mode and in cyclical clips of 1-15 minutes;
- Writes in Full-HD or HD at 30 and 60 fps, respectively;
- Viewing angle 120 degrees;
- There is a built-in microphone.
The camera distinguishes the numbers well. There are special features: slow-motion recording (Time Lapse) and a lane departure warning system (Lane Departure Warning System). There is infrared illumination and sharpening mode. The video displays the time and date.
We have had experience with this camera. In principle, I liked everything, the video is of excellent quality. Among the shortcomings can be identified:
- Video of maximum quality quickly clogs the memory card;
- Small battery capacity;
- The backlight doesn't really help in low light conditions.
Let's be honest: for the money this is a very good device. True, with very intensive use, it will last a maximum of 2 years. It makes no sense to repair it or reflash it, since this service will cost 50-60 percent of the cost of the device.
Purpose VX-295
Probably one of the cheapest models on the market today. The price of this gadget is 2200-2500 rubles.
The characteristics are as follows:
- Recording in HD 1280×720;
- There is a G-sensor (shock sensor) and a motion detector (the camera wakes up when it detects the movement of objects in the frame);
- support 32GB memory card;
- viewing angle 90 degrees.
As you can see, the minimum set of functions. It should also be noted that this model is assembled in Russia. Of course, for that kind of money, you should not hope for something beyond the ordinary, but most drivers note that although the DVR is assembled from cheap components, it performs its functions more or less normally. Device from the mid-price segment. You can buy this registrar for 8900-9500 rubles. According to our impressions of this gadget and the reviews of drivers, the price is quite consistent with the quality.
The main plus is the GPS module and the ability to connect to Wi-Fi, thanks to which you can overlay videos on Yandex or Google maps, download traffic alerts or stationary video and photo cameras. The video also displays the numbers of cars, theirs and your speed.
Features:
- Support for various shooting modes: SuperHD / Wide, Full-HD at 1080 with HDR;
- Infrared illumination, high quality night shooting;
- Can be controlled through special applications on Android or Apple smartphones;
- Loop recording without breaks, clips are saved in a separate folder;
- G-sensor, motion sensor;
- Support SD card up to 64GB;
- Economical file compression thanks to the H.264 video codec.
The diagonal camera view angle reaches 170 degrees, that is, you get a full-screen image, which clearly shows both the cars in front and the traffic situation on adjacent lanes and sidewalks.
Attaches with suction cups to the windshield. We tested this model personally and did not find any serious problems, so we are in solidarity with those motorists who rated this DVR by 5 plus.
Dunobil Account
A relatively new model that went on sale at the end of 2016. The average price in stores is 10890 rubles. The advantage is that it combines a radar detector and a video recorder.
We have not yet had the opportunity to personally test this model, but, judging by the reviews of familiar drivers, they did not regret the purchase at all.
It is enough to list the main characteristics:
- Video recording in Super Full-HD 2560×1080 widescreen mode;
- There is a GPS module and Wi-Fi connection;
- Shock sensor and video folder that cannot be deleted, motion detection;
- Viewing angle up to 170 vertically and 120 degrees wide.
The detector picks up all the main ranges, catches the arrow well, there are Highway and City modes. In addition, you can regularly update the databases of stationary cameras. Special functionality will warn you about speeding and exiting the lane. Memory cards up to 128 GB are supported.
The only drawback, in our opinion, is the file compression in MP4 mode. You can choose the shooting mode yourself, but if the compression is too strong, the quality suffers. If you choose full-length mode, then 5 minutes of recording will take 150-200 MB. In addition, in the maximum quality mode, the camera may simply freeze.
DATAKAM G5-CITY MAX-BF Limited Edition
Another hybrid model that combines the functions of a navigator, a DVR and a radar detector. Its price is quite high - 22890 rubles, and, it should be noted, it is clearly overpriced. Nevertheless, the model is a success and has earned a solid five in reviews.
This registrar first appeared on the shelves at the end of 2015.
Its characteristics:
- HD 1920×1080 support;
- Shock sensor, motion detector;
- GPS-module, Wi-Fi-Connect, control through specialized applications;
- Ability to connect to GLONASS, download maps, traffic jams, video recording cameras, potholes, etc.;
- camera view: 170 and 140 degrees (diagonal, width);
- Sufficiently powerful battery, offline recording up to 40 minutes.
The only problem, in our opinion, is the too small screen, which minimizes all the advantages of this DVR. Agree that viewing cards on a 1,6-inch screen is not an easy task. Fortunately, the device can be connected via HDMI connector to other gadgets. True, for joint work you will have to install special applications.
