Luxembourg: when Vél'OK switches to electric bicycles

In Luxembourg, Vél'Ok has just integrated 115 electric bicycles into its self-service bicycle system.

Spread across 48 stations and six cities in the network (Ash, Dudelange, Differdange, Bettemburg, Sanem, Schifflange), this electric bike fleet was supplied by the German brand ScHot.

For Vél'Ok, which has around 2500 subscribers, the advent of electric bikes should help revitalize the service and attract new customers.

In addition to a non-cash deposit of 150 € upon registration, the Vel'Ok service is completely free for everyone. However, the use of bicycles is limited to two hours to ensure the availability of the service.
