Oil characteristics
Synthetic gear oil CLP 220 is produced using antioxidant additives, corrosion inhibitors, and antifriction additives. This is a complex product that significantly increases the service life and uninterrupted operation of gear or circulation systems.

A distinctive feature of the presented line is in the viscosity index. According to the ISO system, it equates to 220. This parameter indicates that in some cases, when using imported equipment, manufacturers recommend using a less viscous lubricant. This is done so that it gets inside the system and on each specific part as soon as possible, thereby preventing their wear due to excessive friction.
The presented oil, in terms of its technical characteristics, is an analogue of such products as Shell Omala or Mobil 600XP.
Main positive qualities
Regardless of the brand under which the gear oil will be released, it must have:
- anti-corrosion properties.
- High antioxidant stability.
- demulsifying characteristics.
- The ability to prevent foaming and the appearance of soot.
In addition, the advantages of the CLP 220 range compared to, for example, the more viscous analogue CLP 320, are:
- Excellent oil filterability.
- The ability to reduce the coefficient of friction, thereby increasing the efficiency of the equipment.
- Possibility to extend the service life of hotel parts by eliminating the so-called “fatigue” accumulation effect.
Thus, the mentioned characteristics of the lubricant make it in demand in many industries.
Spheres of application and forms of production
The main purpose of the lubricant is gear and worm gears of industrial equipment, bearings and gearboxes used in harsh conditions.
Applications:
- Conveyors, concrete mixers, escalators and other devices and machines used in civil and commercial construction.
- Piston, screw, rotary compressors in industrial equipment.
- Gears and devices present in machinery and machine tools of the metalworking, food, and textile industries.
The range of applications is voiced by oil manufacturers. Also, some manufacturers, when supplying equipment to enterprises, indicate which particular lubricant of this CLP group is suitable for the maintenance and smooth operation of a particular system.
CLP 220 is produced in cans from 20 liters. Some brands, such as Rosneft, also offer barrels of 200 liters or more. Keep them tightly closed, limiting the ingress of moisture and dust into the oil.
