Mazda CX-3 changes the base engine in Japan

Crossover in honor of the 100th anniversary will be equipped with a 1,5 engine

Starting in June, the atmospheric four-cylinder Skyactiv-G 1.5 (111 hp, 144 Nm) with a six-speed automatic transmission will become the base engine of the Mazda CX-3 in Japan. It will complement the Skyactiv-G 2.0 gasoline engine (150 hp, 195 Nm), which was previously considered the base, and the Skyactiv-D 1.8 diesel engine (116 hp, 270 Nm). In fact, a six-speed manual gearbox is still nominally still present, but only two-pedal cars are sold.

The Centenary Gift List is not limited to an engine. The palette of the body will be filled with a gray metallic Polymetal Gray (pictured). A new generation of seats will appear in the cabin. The media center makes friends with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Now the Skyactive engine range for the CX-3 is as follows: 1,5, 2,0, 1,8 diesel. The basic atmospheric unit cannot be called new, since it has long been installed on the Mazda 2 and the MX-5 roadster.

With the advent of atmospheric 1.5, the initial price of the CX-3 in the 15S configuration will drop to 1 yen (892 euros) with front-wheel drive and up to 000 (16 euros) for four-wheel drive. By May 000, when orders for the new version began to arrive, the crossover started from 2 yen (122 euros). Sales are scheduled to begin on June 200. Interestingly, the CX-17 crossover in the 900th Anniversary version will be equipped with a 18 engine.
