Mazda e-TPV = Electric Mazda tucked into the CX-30 body. Premiere at the showroom Tokyo 2019

Mazda recently officially confirmed that it will unveil in Tokyo a "brand new model" of the electric vehicle, which was previously hidden in the back of the CX-30 version. It turns out that some editions have already passed it and can say a lot about this.

The most important objection concerns the appearance, which we just ... do not know. There is unofficial information that the electric Mazda from Tokyo may be a variant of the CX-30 / CX-4, but the manufacturer is talking about a separate product. We will find out the truth only a month later, on October 23, 2019.

Electric Mazda has battery with a capacity of 35,5 kWh Oraz Engine 105 kW (143 HP) i torque 265 Nm - and this is official data. Cars in the B/B-SUV and C/C-SUV segments have similar values, suggesting that a Japanese car must fall into one of these compartments. Most likely, today it is the border between the B- and C-SUV segments, a neat hatchback / crossover with a range of about 200 kilometers. It is no coincidence that the new power unit is “clothed” in the CX-30 body ...

However, Mazda's Polish subsidiary is distancing itself from the rest of the market. Wojciech Halarewicz, Mazda's vice president of public relations for Europe, even stated that “Mazda never makes cars like the competition,” which suggests we should prepare for a design surprise. Perhaps this is similar to what Honda provided us with the Urban EV and then renamed to Honda e [www.elektrowoz.pl speculation, source]:

The Honda e as a prototype of the Honda Urban EV was one of the openings of the Frankfurt Motor Show at IAA 2017. Probably, then, not a single car was written about the urban electrician of the Japanese manufacturer. (C) Honda

According to Chasing Cars, the Mazda e-TPV handles corners just like the Mazda 3. The steering is precise and the ride is smooth. The prototype car used very weak regenerative braking, which made it the electrician looks like an internal combustion car... The illusion was amplified by ... the sound of a four-cylinder engine emanating from the speakers in the cabin.

The interior was barely on display as it was a classic Mazda interior, augmented by equipment to control the parameters of movement.

Electric Mazda expected to go on sale in Europe and in Poland, according to Dziennik.pl, in 2020.... It will be offered in a purely electric version and will be supported by a rotating piston combustion energy generator. An interesting fact is that the Wankel engine has to be adapted to burn LPG and possibly also hydrogen, which would make it a truly versatile solution:

> Mazda has patented a compact rotating piston engine. He will turn it into an electric generator in plug-in hybrids.

Car price should be similar to the prices we see in the competition, So, we will expect a car with a price of 140-150 thousand zlotys in the basic configuration..
