Mazda to Offer Free Oil Changes and Car Cleaning to Educators in the US

With the needs of its customers in mind, Mazda is launching the Essential Car Care Educators program. This program aims to offer free oil changes and car cleaning to educators in the United States.

Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) announced the expansion of its Essential Car Care program in August 2021. The program was first rolled out to healthcare professionals and now includes educators. Educators across the country are gearing up for the start of the school year as we approach the end of summer.

Mazda has found a way to help by acknowledging the challenges educators have faced and continue to face during the pandemic. Here's a look at Mazda's perks available in August and September for educators.

Teachers, administrators, coaches - all employees of the school! Your work inspires us and the communities you serve. This is a friendly reminder that we offer you a free oil change, vehicle inspection and cleaning. Just a small thank you for everything you do.

Mazda recognizes the efforts of educators

The Essential Car Care Educators program provides a free standard oil change, inspection and cleaning of the interior and exterior of the vehicle for professionals participating in training at participating dealerships nationwide. This includes teachers, coaches and school staff at all levels of education. Some dealerships offer free school supplies in addition to vehicle delivery and return.

The program began in early July 2021 at select dealers and expanded across the country in August. It will continue to be available for most makes and models until September 30th. Announcing the new program, MNAO President and CEO Jeff Guyton said, “Mazda has a history of serving the community and this program is our way of showing gratitude to the educational community. By partnering with our dealer network to provide vehicle maintenance, we hope to help educators who have been working tirelessly during the pandemic as the new school year begins.”

What teachers and vehicles are eligible?

Educators may receive services under this program once through September 30, 2021. Proof of employment is required as well as a valid driver's license. This proof can be an ID card from your employer or a pay stub. Educators who have been teachers, professors, assistants, assistants, administrators, coaches, or support staff during their 12 months of service in schools from preschool to graduate school are eligible.

Attention, it is not necessary to own a Mazda vehicle, but not all vehicles are eligible. Educators may bring any vehicle except "exotic vehicles, classic vehicles, off-road vehicles, and vehicles with more than 8 liters of engine oil, or any other vehicle that has specific manufacturer requirements or requires special tools or training." Mazda offers a wide range of quality vehicles.

While most vehicles are eligible, Mazda likely hopes this program will encourage people to buy Mazda vehicles in the future. The brand currently offers crossovers and SUVs, including for 2021. Its sedans and hatchbacks include , and . Sports cars include the Mazda MX-5 Miata and the Mazda MX-5 Miata RF.

It can be helpful to feel appreciated during times of professional hardship and stress. The automaker has come up with a way to thank healthcare workers and educators, two groups among many essential workers. While the Essential Car Care Educators Program certainly sheds light on the brand in a positive light, it is available for many vehicles of any make.
