Mechanical bollards

Gone are the days when drivers, getting out of the car, attached various "anti-theft": a blocker on the brake pedal or a "stick" on the steering wheel. Most mechanical anti-theft devices are now paired with electronic locks, and it is the whole complex that is effective. Employees of FAVORIT MOTORS Group of Companies have extensive experience in installing anti-theft systems and are well aware of the profile brands. By entrusting the installation of the security complex to the masters of FAVORIT MOTORS Group, you can be sure that the work will be done with high quality, on time, and that the factory warranty will be maintained.

Mechanical bollards

The degree of protection of the car depends on its value and popularity with car thieves. There are several types of mechanical blockers.

Types of mechanical interlocks:

Preventing entry into the car

These include locks for full locking of doors, which turn out to be an unexpected obstacle during theft. Practice shows that criminals often steal car keys from the owner while he is walking, for example, in a shopping center. One remains to control the driver, and the other goes to the car. The door lock is a retractable pin fixed in a hole located at the end of the door. It is usually activated and deactivated by a key fob worn separately from the keys. The offender tries to open the car with a stolen key fob, but the doors remain locked.

Hood lock. Significantly increases the safety of the car, since criminals do not have the opportunity to get close to the battery, starter and power system. You can’t eat constipation, because the cable is in an armored case. The only way out is to bend the hood, but in this case the car becomes too conspicuous. Usually, an additional cable is brought out in a secret place, which the owner can use if, for example, the battery runs out.

Glass booking. A special film significantly increases the strength of the glass. It makes it difficult to enter the cabin, protects against fragments in the event of an accident.

obstructing movement

There are devices that block the brake system. Such equipment is expensive, many experts consider it dangerous due to the possible accidental blocking of the wheels while driving. Of course, the developers have provided several degrees of protection and guarantee uninterrupted operation. Various ways to notify the driver about the activated system: LED or voice notification. There are options that open / close with a high degree of secrecy with duplication protection; there are fully electronic models.

Blocking work nodes

Checkpoint blocker. A metal pin is inserted into the hole next to the shift lever and closed with a key. In cars with a manual gearbox, in this case, all gears are blocked except reverse. On a car with automatic transmission, it will not be possible to move the handle from the parking mode. There are also pinless options: the locking device is already installed, just turn the key.

Brake pedal lock. Installed permanently and locked with a key. The brake pedal is kept depressed at all times. The disadvantage of this blocker is that in cold weather the brake pads can freeze to the discs, and it will be difficult to move the car. In addition, criminals can simply bite the brake pedal, and they will be able to drive without it. And then it's easy to put a new pedal.

Steering lock. All cars are equipped with such a lock: if there is no ignition key in the lock, the steering wheel is locked when turning. This type of lock is not durable and is easy to break. There are additional, more reinforced steering wheel locks.

Blockers of working units include a lock for the diagnostic connector, as well as armor protection for the engine control unit and the certification unit. Such protections are complemented by security systems with complex immobilizers: a criminal who opens a car does not have the opportunity to install his electronic units and start the car.

Additional protection

In addition to security systems, there are locks that prevent theft.

Secrets on wheels. Bolts with non-standard fastening, which require a special head to remove.

Headlight lock. In recent years, cases of theft of headlights are not uncommon. It is easy to remove them, and then, in order to save money, the victim is forced to buy used ones, possibly his own. The lock blocks the actuators of the fastening mechanism, and it is not possible to pull out the headlights without damaging them.

It is impossible to single out the most reliable and effective constipation. The most suitable option is selected by the master of FAVORIT MOTORS Group of Companies. Being well versed in the device of the car, he will be able to determine and install the most reliable and cost-effective version of the security complex.
