As a rule, seat heating is controlled separately for the driver and passenger. Gives pleasant warmth for a short time. It is also useful for those who suffer from back pain, especially on long trips.
If the seat heating is not installed at the factory, it is not possible or very difficult to retrofit it. New seats required to accommodate control cables. In most cases, the effort isn't worth it.
The mobile seat heating comes to the rescue, which can be installed regardless of the type of car. A mat or cover is placed on the seat, which can be disassembled and used in another car.
Mobile heating is offered by different manufacturers. Some models offer basic controls and varying degrees of heating. The size of the mat depends on the size of the seat.
Heated mobile seats are powered by a cigarette lighter. Some models connect directly to the on-board electronics. It is more difficult, and the rugs themselves are not easy to transfer to another car. Each individual rug requires a separate power supply, and the necessary distributors for the cigarette lighter socket are also available from specialized stores.
The mat is simply placed on the seat and connected to the mains. Then it turns on and a suitable temperature is selected. It heats up in just a few minutes.
Mobile seat heating - good value for money, some models start at 20 euros. Since the mat permanently covers the seat, the leather and upholstery are protected. In this sense, the effect of investment is twofold.
Alternatively, heated covers are available that stretch over the seat. They are not easy to use and not easy to replace.
Both options have advantages and disadvantages. Installed seat heating is the best option. Mobile heating is affordable, easy to install and can be used in a variety of vehicles. The disadvantage is in the wires and the constantly busy car cigarette lighter.
