Moto test: Honda NC750X ABS

The introduction is a bit tricky, mostly because of me, who rides almost all the bikes that hit the market every year. And usually the expectations are high, which is certainly justified if I look at what I praised or scolded ten years ago, if not twenty years ago, and then flinch at the thought of how big a step forward motorcycles have taken. Synonymous with technologically advanced solutions and notorious perishable goods, Honda is playing one such exciting game with us motorcyclists. They know that we are "burned" by the emotions that motorcycles evoke in us, but they dose them drop by drop, thoughtfully, even prudently. Who doesn't shake their knees at all like the new Africa Twin (other brand fans are freed), or if I just think how crazy it would be to sit on a replica MotoGP car and push the lever on the track with all the wonderful support of modern technology ... Wow, yeah, Honda has emotions too, which is a little funny when I think they are the ones who, without hesitation, make a rational bike like this NC750X. When I last tested this model, I thought that perhaps they forgot to remove some kind of retainer from it, as I did not understand how the engine could pull so calmly with these "cubes". But after the initial hysteria, I thought a little and realized that I simply am not the buyer of this motorcycle. I just want more character, more sportiness from the car when I sit on it.

But the sales figures, on the other hand, prove that the truth is different. In a package consisting of modern looks, ease of use, friendly nature of the unit and, in fact, the fact that on a motorcycle everything is where it should be, except for the fuel tank, of course! If I think about it, look at the price, and use a meter and scale to measure how much bike I get for my money, the equation becomes clear. When I got a nicely updated model that kept up with the times for the 2016 season and won LED lighting, got a slightly more rugged look and above all better wind protection and the ability to play around with very comfortable suspension adjustments, I drove off. my favorite twists, I had a good time. The passenger did not complain about the lack of comfort, so I can say that there is enough comfort in the back. First of all, what they have already done with the inline-twin engine now works better. He had that liveliness, which I really lacked before. Far from sporty, but hey, I don't feel like it at all. That's why the suspension, brakes, and transmission don't like it when you push them to their limit either. But since it's a mid-range touring bike, I don't want to throw it in his face. I prefer to praise it for sitting well on the NC750X, the handlebars are wide enough and the seat is upright so it doesn't get tired on a long ride. With a set of suitcases and an Akrapovic muffler, he's got a much-needed nobility that goes a long way. For those who are even more demanding, Honda offers another model that also costs accordingly. With a consumption of 4,2 liters per 100 km, I did not have time to drive the promised 400 km, but I'm not angry. The engine is a smart economy that offers a huge amount for its price and is currently one of the most versatile motorcycles on the market, priced under seven thousandths.
