Just a few years ago, I would calmly write that even in the maxi scooter class, more is better, and without hesitation, I raised my hand to one of the two-cylinder maxi. But my opinion has changed somewhat with the advent of more modern 400 cc scooters. Cm.
A modern 400cc maxi like the Xciting S 400 compared to its older rivals, above all, compared to the two-cylinder maxi, 10 – even 25 percent lighter... Accordingly, the power-to-weight ratio is very similar, but the difference in weight between 20 and 60 kg is significant.
The Xciting 400 S is, judging by purely technical data, the champion of its class. It is the lightest, most durable and, with both, the cheapest. But I experienced it myself a little differently, I was expecting a completely different scooter.
Accustomed to the fact that Kymco also produces extremely useful scooters, I was quite surprised by the volume of the luggage compartment. It opens only halfway, it is two-level and (too small) for the size of a scooter. The big modular helmet is already challenging him, but you can forget about saving two. While I walked a little thoughtfully around him because of this, I was drawn to it.
This is not a station wagon, the Xciting 400 S, as its name suggests, has become a model of life! From that moment on, my attention was focused on its sports and tourism opportunities. And I was delighted. Real.
I always, at least when it comes to scooters, supporter of upright and high seatingas the visibility as well as the control of the scooter is thus significantly improved. This is especially true when filtering through a city traffic jam.
According to the GT scooter, the Xciting also performs well on open roads and even on freeways. Its front end may not be as sharp as sports scooters, but it still responds very instantly to every steering command and regains a sense of extraordinary stability.
It will be difficult for you to find a troubling part or workmanship.I am. The switches are modern, as is the dashboard. emergencywhich can use the app to display all smartphone data on the center screen, provide navigation instructions and provide specific display customization.
It has some inconsistencies, such as three-speed displays, as well as some shortcomings, such as displaying the outside temperature, and under the line - a very good and transparent information center in all conditions. What did I miss? Mostly electric windshield and heated handles. I know, whims, but the competition offers it.
Xciting is also a very beautiful scooter, without exaggeration of design and without kitsch. The designers did a good jobIn addition, in a positive way, both day and night, modern LED lighting is emphasized. And although the big helmet does not go under the seat, I rode a jet engine, as it should be on a scooter.
