Jacket and Pants: Versatility and System D.

Not everyone has the chance - and not everyone has the finances - to stock their wardrobe with as many motorcycle outfits as there are seasons. Especially since there are no more seasons, milady! So, you must know how to handle what you have in your closets. When choosing travel, bet on versatility.

Remove the lining from your regular textile or leather jacket, even if it seems light for your morning or night ride. Bring a fleece jacket or thin, wind-resistant technical clothing, which will come in handy when cycling in cold weather, for example, on the terrace in the evening.

This dual-use garment will save you space in your suitcases and bags. Even if your textile jacket is advertised as waterproof, take a raincoat with you. Traveling with a jacket that is struggling to dry is always painful.

In the absence of summer motorcycle pants, which are expensive and limited to use, you can remove the winter lining from your all-season pants, even if they stay warm no matter what. Some use cross knee pads (which often cover the shins), which they wear underneath their jeans. It's always better than nothing.

Helmet: a matter of compromise

You are fortunate enough to have multiple helmets. The other side of the coin, you don't know what to choose depending on the inner qualities of each of them and your route. Don't panic: we will see it together.

With many kilometers ahead, the cute jet helmet, perfect for small roads, is a real challenge in the slightest downpour on the track. Of course, sometimes you can equip it with a visor, but the bet is daring. If you want, don't forget to protect your skin with sunscreen: the sun / hot air cocktail will dry your skin quickly on the way! A screen spray can be the solution, especially if the screen goes low enough and provides good protection from rain and wind. There remains the aspect of safety in the event of a collision.

A complete solution in terms of safety and acoustic comfort on long trips, but it will be hot, which will limit the pleasure for some. Because rolling a truffle in the air on a small sunny road remains a simple and true pleasure. Thus, the modular design offers an excellent compromise. Admittedly, on the road it is often noisier than the integral, but you can go slower with a loaded bike. And then it will remain acoustically comfortable. In addition, being able to open it to pay tolls, at low speeds in villages, and being able to put on sunglasses quickly and easily are all advantages in its favor.

Protection and limbs: safety comes first

When it comes to shoes, avoid sneakers! Even if the temptation is great, the insecurity is too great. Even if you feel warm, still choose shoes, casual. Anyway, advice: replace the original insole with a sports model with micro-perforation and absorbent properties, which can be found in supermarkets or sports stores. If that doesn't work, you can buy a very thin sole and drill a lot of holes in it to help air your toes a little.

For gloves, two pairs are better than one. A waterproof and slightly warm pair and another one for summer. Hoping that only the second pair will work. And the spine?
