In Sweden, especially in Uddevalla, where the World Championships have been held several times, we tested the new Kawasaki KX450F, recently equipped with an electric starter. On the other hand, the new Kawasaki no longer has a kick start, which saves a little weight, but this can (especially in cold and winter temperatures not suitable for batteries) prove to be a disadvantage.

Air forks are a thing of the past

A big novelty is also the hydraulic clutch, which allows the driver to use more sophisticatedly and improve the driving experience. The smile on his face attracts, above all, the pendant. Show jawswhich again run on classic springs and oil (no longer on compressed air). They are easily adjustable so they are suitable for both beginners and professional riders.

At first glance, the shape of the engine itself differs from last year, since the left side is obliged electric starter slightly modified. As a result of the new engine design, the frame has also changed. This has further lowered the Kawasaki's center of gravity, which translates into improved handling, which is critical for a smooth and fast driving experience. The modified axle of the first wheel due to the new brake disc also contributes to better handling.

Well distributed power

Concerning engine running while drivingThe Kawasaki KX450F was again pleasantly surprised as it offers a lot of power, but it is very evenly distributed across the entire rev range so the driver doesn't get too tired. Also worth mentioning is the possibility of three different engine operating programs, which are mainly designed for dry, muddy or sandy terrain. For a fast ride, not only great power is enough, but also the safety of the driver, which Kawasaki has achieved with the help of Nissin brakes, which provide difficult braking, and the slightly modified shape of the motorcycle allows the rider to move more freely. After the presentation of this model, there was a lot of talk about the appearance, which has a touch of retro.
