I recently had the opportunity to test the Gas Gas enduro motorcycle for the first time. Should be added here, that it was not just a regular 300 EC 2021 TPI, but one that is exhausted from the list of accessories. Thus, this specialty underwent many modifications at Seles mot in Grosupla, and also became the official representative of KTM and Gas Gas, and thus became completely ready for racing. I have to admit that this also contributed a little to the fact that at first I had some awe about the bike, but after the first few minutes we became completely friends.
The first thing I noticed when I found myself in the middle of a slope in the forest was how evenly the engine responded to the addition of gas, since there has never been a situation where the engine "went crazy", which was largely due to the carefully measured torque., which develops mainly in the lower rev range. The same is true at higher speeds, which makes driving quieter and more enjoyable.
The bike's excellent handling is also a lot of fun because despite its good 106 kilograms (no fuel) it remains a very lightweight and responsive bike. In addition to the frame, Powerparts and motocross handlebars, there is a lot of merit and WP suspension that does its job well on any terrain. I was amazed at how beautifully all of the above merged into a single whole, and as a result, the ride became soft and playful.
Of course, it also has a lot of credit for the aforementioned linear motor performance. Akrapovic exhaust system, which, in addition to improved driving performance, also adds a lot to the exterior.. The muffler is not Akrapovic's only product on this gas however, as the latter is also fitted with titanium pedals which, in addition to being lighter, also provide much-needed traction for enduro as most of the time the trail also includes steep climbs. lasagna and wet streams.
Separately, it is worth noting the softness of the clutch, as I am one of those riders who are very attentive to this. Given how important the grip is in enduro and how often you need to use it, I find it extremely important that it is soft and can only be used with one finger. However, when I get to the clutch, I can mention that the bike is also equipped with a Hinson hood, which of course is not felt while riding, but still adds a few extra points to the look.
I would also compliment the excellent grip while driving, whether it was uphill, horizontal transition of the latter, rocks, roots, driving along a stream, driving faster through forest paths, and I could go on and on. The combination of Metzeler tires, Rise mousse at the front and the well-known enduraš at the rear gave me excellent traction in all conditions. Even if I made a mistake in the middle of the climb and practically stopped, I had no problem starting a new one.
Considering that the bike, in addition to the classic enduro, is also designed for extreme terrain, protecting vital parts is critical. This red car is 300 cc. I shouldn't forget the Moto Mali's carbon fiber front disc protection and the curvature of the tailpipe, as both the disc and the exhaust are some of the most vulnerable parts when off-roading. All of the above gives the rider a sense of security as you don't have to worry so much about the motorcycle even when riding in more difficult terrain, since you know it is well protected.
The combination of all the characteristics of a motorcycle is simply amazing, you slowly discover its features as you ride, and everything merges into one whole. and it is for this reason that I was always accompanied by a wide smile under the helmet during the trip.
