We drove: KTM 125 SX, 150 SX and 250 SX 2019

I named the track in Italy where the first KTM star, nine-time world champion Antonio Cairoli, has his training base with a 125cc engine, and already in the first laps I felt the exceptional handling, stability and amazing power the engine offers. in accelerations. Interestingly, retired American rider Ryan Dungey also rode this bike with great enthusiasm. The motorcycle I still think of today was the SX 150. It is basically based on the aforementioned 125cc. surprisingly more for this type of model. I noticed this especially on high climbs, on longer airplanes, and most of all on cornering acceleration. Suspension, frame and brakes worked great, no comment.

I was also pleasantly surprised by the most powerful two-stroke KTM. While these engines are known to be fatiguing and challenging to drive, I would characterize the 250 SX as easy and fun to drive. Like all KTMs, it is extremely agile in terms of handling characteristics, but I have to thank the stable engine performance for the driving pleasure, because the driver does not get too tired while driving.

Otherwise, two-stroke bikes are also equipped with all the most advanced components, from levers to pedals and plastic, which feels like a ride as you enjoy the ride with the racing sound of a two-stroke engine.
