Inexpensive SUVs and crossovers: prices, photos and descriptions

If you want to buy a car that can be driven around the city and off-road, you need to choose an SUV or crossover. We have already paid much attention to this segment on our website Vodi.su. In this article, I would like to consider what more or less affordable crossovers and SUVs are on the Russian market in mid-2015.

Of domestic cars, UAZ and VAZ Niva retain the palm. The following models are presented in the official UAZ stores and at dealers (we have already talked about almost all of them, so we will not delve into the characteristics):

Of course, the concept of “inexpensive car” is different for everyone, but usually a car worth up to 10 thousand dollars, that is, 600-700 thousand, is classified as a budget category.

AvtoVAZ continues to modify its NIVA. Today it is presented in three main configurations:

• Lada NIVA 4x4 3 doors - 405-425 thousand rubles, there is a recycling program;
• Lada Urban 4x4 three-door - 449 thousand rubles;
• Lada NIVA 5 doors - 441 thousand.

You can also pay attention to the all-terrain wagon - Pepper Largus Cross, which is offered in two main modifications:

• 5-seater - 597 thousand rubles;
• 7-seater - 622 thousand.

It is clear that it cannot be compared with Niva in terms of cross-country ability, but you can go somewhere on the bank of a river, a sandy beach or on a dirt road without much fear.

It is impossible to bypass the joint venture GM-AVTOVAZ with its bestseller Chevrolet Niva. In 2014, the car went through some changes, in particular, a new package appeared - LE +, in which the front seats were modified, the protection of the rear bumper and towbar was strengthened, there were certain changes in the interior and exterior.

The prices for Chevy-NIVA are as follows:

• L - 519;
• LC — 550;
• LE - 580;
• GLS —592;
• GLC and LE + - 619 thousand rubles.

Please note that if you buy for recycling, you can safely deduct 70 thousand rubles from the indicated amounts.

TagAZ also continues to work, in the model range of which three off-road vehicles are currently represented:

• Tagaz Road Partner - an all-wheel drive SUV at prices from 609 to 674 thousand (reviews about this car are not the best);
• Tagaz C190 (JAC Rein) - a crossover with a high-torque engine at low revs, it will cost 709 thousand rubles;
• Tagaz tager - three-door SUV with Mercedes engines will cost 620-680 thousand. For the 5-door version, they ask for 730 thousand.

In a word, the domestic auto industry is still working, despite the crisis and falling demand.

Chinese crossovers

Chinese crossovers are mainly produced at the Derways plant in Cherkessk. The lineup has narrowed a little, but there is something to choose from.

Pseudo crossover Geely mk cross presented in two packages:

• Comfort - 435 thousand 2014 assembly or 385 thousand 2013;
• Luxury - 455 and 412 thousand, respectively.

Crossover Emgrand x7 located on the very border between the budget and medium price categories.

Presented in three trim levels:

• Comfort - 699 thousand (2.0 manual transmission) or 789 (2.4 automatic transmission);
• Prestige — 815;
• Luxury - 739 thousand rubles.

Lifan also offers several models of inexpensive crossovers. First of all, it should be noted the novelty of 2015, which we already wrote about on Vodi.su - Lifan X50. This crossover looks quite good, equipped with a 1.5-liter 103-horsepower gasoline engine and front-wheel drive. It will cost 499, 549 or 589 thousand, depending on the configuration.

Resumed sales and popular last year Lifan X60. Prices for cars assembled in 2015 range from 565 to 699 thousand rubles. Cars of the last year of release also remained on sale, their prices are on average 50 thousand lower.

They cooperate at the Derways plant and with another Chinese manufacturer - Haima. crossover Pancreas 7 will cost in 2015 599-919 thousand rubles. It is powered by a 2 liter petrol engine with a combined consumption of approximately 8 liters.

In addition, Great Wall Hover crossovers are also produced in Cherkessk. It should be said that their prices are quite high - from 799 thousand rubles. The model fits into the category of budget Great Wall M4, which costs from 639 to 709 thousand.

Well, you can't get past Renault Duster, which at the prices of 2015 will cost buyers in the amount of 585 to 868 thousand rubles.
