New crossovers for 400 thousand rubles

Crossovers today have become so popular that you can buy one of them, even having an amount within 400 thousand rubles. At the moment, there is only one basic equipment for sale on order, which includes an 87-horsepower gasoline engine that works in conjunction with a manual transmission. There are also ABS, climate control, heating and airbags for the front seats.

The new Kalina will become an excellent competitor to the Chinese pseudo-crossover model - Geely mk cross. The fact that this is really a pseudo-crossover is evidenced by at least the fact that the ground clearance here is only 175 millimeters - even for light off-road this is not enough: you can not calculate the ramp angle and easily “sit on your belly” on a completely harmless hill, and You can't really drive through curbs in the city.

But buyers will probably attract cost - 392 thousand. The driving characteristics of the Chinese Cross are generally the same as those of our Kalina: a 94-horsepower engine accelerates it to a maximum of 165 kilometers. Although the basic version has: ABS + EBD, front airbags, heated front seats, central locking, 16-inch alloy wheels and so on. That is, this model is worthy of your attention.

Another Chinese compact crossover is Chery Beat, also known as Chery Indis. If the previous two models are modified versions of class “B” hatchbacks, then IndiS is converted from a compact class “A” hatchback.

Body length - 3866 millimeters, that is, just on the verge between "A" and "B". But despite such a miniature size, this mini-crossover fell in love with Russian buyers.

Judging by the reviews, this joy does not last very long, because breakdowns begin to remind of themselves after the first year of operation.

However, today there are two trim levels available, the only difference between which is automatic and manual transmissions. IndyS with mechanics will cost you 374 thousand, with a machine gun - 430 thousand.

The front-wheel drive crossover with 20mm of ground clearance feels good on broken roads, although the suspension is stiff. The 1,3-liter engine produces 84 horsepower and accelerates the car to hundreds in 17 seconds, top speed is 150 km/h.

The interior of the car is unusual in that the instrument panel is located exactly in the center of the dashboard. This decision is quite thoughtful, because the steering wheel will not cover the speedometer or temperature sensors from the driver. In the cabin, 4 adults and one child feel quite comfortable. Judging by the appearance and interior design, this car was intended primarily for novice women.

In principle, at the moment, only these three models are crossovers, which can be purchased for 400 thousand rubles. By crossover, we mean a hatchback or an all-terrain wagon. There are a couple more domestic models, but these are full-fledged SUVs:

• UAZ 469 - 430 thousand.

That is, the fingers of one hand are enough to count all the available new crossovers at a price within 400 thousand. If you can save up a little more money or take out a loan for the missing amount, then even from the mark of 600 thousand, the choice expands significantly.
