New fines for car owners. Changes from July 1, 2012

Since July 1, 2012, the traffic police department has increased the fines for car owners several times, and for Moscow and St. Petersburg the fines will be even higher than for other regions of Russia.

Violation of the rules for stopping vehicles, in particular: Stopping at a pedestrian crossing or closer than 5 meters to it is now punishable by a fine of 1000 rubles, although before it was only 300 rubles, and sometimes traffic police officers could simply issue a warning.

Stopping a vehicle in places for stopping route vehicles, or closer than 15 meters to a stop, is now punishable by a fine of 1000 rubles, instead of the previous 100 rubles or a warning.

Fines have also increased for drivers whose vehicles will be on tram tracks - that is, stopping on tram tracks is now punishable by a fine of 1500 rubles, and earlier there was a punishment for this violation of only 100 rubles. Failure to comply with road markings that prohibit stopping and parking will also be punishable by a fine of 1500 rubles, instead of 300 rubles before these amendments are made. Moreover, for all the above violations, the vehicle will be sent to a fine parking lot.

As for the size of fines for Moscow and St. Petersburg, all of the above violations will be punished with a fine of 3000 rubles. So the residents of both capitals will have a hard time.

Departure to the lane for route vehicles will now be punished with a fine of 1500 rubles, instead of the 300 rubles that were before. A stop on such a strip will also cost 1500 rubles. For Moscow and St. Petersburg, these prices will be twice as expensive, 3000 rubles, respectively.

There are also some changes in the amount of fines for traffic violations in residential areas. Now, for violation of traffic rules in these places, you will have to pay not 500 rubles, as it was before, but three times more, that is, 1500 rubles. For Moscow and St. Petersburg, the fines are twice as high, 3000 rubles, respectively.
