Specialized Turbo Creo SL: This electric road bike weighs just 12 kg

The new road electric bike from the American brand Specialized, with a range of up to 195 kilometers on a single charge, combines performance and ultralight materials.  

High quality electric bicycles are popular and the American brand Specialized understands this very well. Having entered the e-bike market a few years ago, the American brand has just introduced a model with impressive performance. 

Considered the brand's new technology leader, the Specialized Turbo Creo SL stands out not only for its neat finish, but also for its minimalist weight. Motor and battery included, the machine weighs only 12.2 kg. To achieve this light weight, the manufacturer uses a FACT 11r carbon frame with built-in bore, including for hydraulic disc brakes.

On the technical side, it will be difficult for you to tell the difference that this bike is electric, as its various components are well integrated. The engine and battery are practically invisible, and only a trained eye will be able to notice the rare elements that betray the electric nature of the model.

The SL 1.1 electric motor, developed by Specialized, delivers 240 W of power and 35 Nm of torque in a limited weight of 1,95 kg. There are three assistance modes available when in use: Eco, Sport and Turbo. Built into the inner tube: the battery has a capacity of 320 Wh. It can be supplemented with a second battery. Built in place of a pumpkin, it increases the onboard capacity to 480 Wh, giving a total theoretical autonomy of up to 195 kilometers on a single charge.
