One of five new products that Ducati will lead to EICMA 2017 is new Monster 821... The iconic Borgo Panigale naked has been updated to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the iconic motorcycle unveiled at the Cologne Motor Show in October 1992, showcasing the historic Ducati yellow that is paired with matte red and black. The 821 inherited the character and charm of the first Monster 900, a motorcycle that revived the sports car segment without fairings, but managed to combine performance, agility and ease of driving.
How Monster 821 2018 is changing
Il 821 Ducati Monster 2018 incorporates the aesthetic and functional innovations introduced in the Monster 1200: a slim and agile design, a completely redesigned tank and tail, inspired by the 1992 motorcycle, a new sports muffler and a new headlight. A new color TFT instrument cluster debuts with gear and fuel level indicator, and electronic gear shifting is available as an option. Ducati Quick Shift up / down and Ducati multimedia system.
Testastretta two-cylinder 109 hp
new 821 Ducati Monster 2018 equipped with a liquid-cooled two-cylinder Testastretta Twin engine, which now provides power 109 CV at 9.250 g / min 86 Nm at 7.750 g / min (versus 112 hp and 89,4 Nm in the previous model). Electronics uses Ducati Safety Packagewhich guarantees high standards of active safety thanks to Bosch ABS and Ducati Traction Control, both of which can be adjusted for different levels of intervention. On the other hand, the three driving modes, acting on ABS, DTC and Power Mode (which controls the maximum power and the type of delivery), give the 821 three completely different symbols. The equipment of the Monster 821 2018 is complete Brembo brakesfeaturing a 320mm double disc at the front and M4-32 radial monobloc calipers, and suspensions with a 43mm front fork and an adjustable shock absorber at the rear.
