The LT 4×2 Crew Cab Pick-Up ($41,190 with automatic transmission) tops only the entry-level LS in the Colorado lineup and adds some handy equipment.

You'll get a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto paired with a six-speaker stereo, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and USB charger, cloth seats and manual air conditioning. Outside, you'll find LED DRLs and body-color power mirrors.

But your extra expense will add niceties like 17-inch alloy wheels, carpeting, tailgate lock, fog lights and side steps to the list of standard features. You still get the same 2.8-liter diesel engine as the rest of the Colorado lineup.

Holden offers a five-year, unlimited mileage warranty for the entire Colorado family, with service required every 12 months or 12,000 miles. The limited price brand service program is published on its website and the first seven services (covering seven years) will cost you $3033.

The Colorado is also awarded a five-star ANCAP rating across the range, and in 2016 it received the highest rating. Safety includes seven airbags, rear sensors, a reversing camera and hill descent control, plus the usual traction. and braking aids, all of which are offered across the range but no AEB.
