Nissan IDx Official Concept Video

With a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine driving the rear wheels, the stock IDx could be Nissan's perfect answer to the 86/BRZ twins.

The IDx concepts unveiled by Nissan at this week's Tokyo Motor Show are a clear throwback to the iconic Datsun 1600 of the late '60s.

The IDx Freeflow road racing model features several design details inspired by the standard 1600 model, while the IDx Nismo reflects the classic's rich racing heritage. 

With a 1.6-litre turbo engine driving the rear wheels, the stock IDx could be Nissan's perfect answer to the Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ.
