Ono: Electric Cargo Bike Launches Fundraising Campaign

Berlin-based startup Ono, formerly Tretbox, has just unveiled a first look at its cargo electric bike, a model designed for messaging applications.

For Ono, the presentation of the model coincides with the launch of a crowdfunding campaign through the SeedMatch platform. The 60-day spread should allow the company to raise one million euros. The amount that will allow both launching pilot experiments and preparing the serial production of the model.

The Ono electric cargo bike, with a cargo volume of up to 2 cubic meters, is designed for “last mile” delivery in connection with city bases or microdepos used to consolidate parcels in city centers.

« More than three quarters of traffic jams in the city center are caused by commercial traffic during peak hours, for example, when delivery vehicles are parked twice.“, explains Beres Selbakh, CEO of ONO. ” The situation can change with a solution like ours, where the first and last mile of a parcel is thought out outside the road network and carriers. In this way, we are making a decisive contribution to making cities more livable in the future. «
