If you decide to buy a domestic used car, then very carefully check the bottom, wheel arches, door sills, racks for corrosion. Check with a magnet if the owners have tried to hide traces of corrosion with paint and putty - the magnet should adhere tightly to the paintwork.

Check the mounting bolts and hinges of the doors, hood and trunk. If the bolts have dents on them, then everything is possible that all these elements were removed or changed.

Stand in front of the car or behind it a little to the side so that the line of sight falls on the sidewalls at an angle. In this way, you can evaluate the uniformity of the paintwork and notice small dents and even traces of putty.

Don't forget also that a used car should have minor defects. If it shines like new, then everything is possible that it was repainted after an accident or theft. This should alert you. Check the history of the car not only by the service book, but also by the VIN code.
