Lightening hair at home - recommended products and home remedies for lightening hair

Lightening hair is one of the most popular and at the same time complex hairdressing transformations. In order to avoid unpleasant disappointment and unsatisfactory effect, many women decide to perform this service only in a professional salon. Some, however, decide to take matters into their own hands and lighten their hair at home. What is worth remembering?

What is hair bleaching?

Lightening hair is one of the hairdressing procedures aimed at changing the natural color by several tones lighter. Simply put, it consists in depriving the hair of pigment. This effect can be achieved both naturally and chemically. The choice of the right one for us depends primarily on how much changes in the hair should occur, that is, how many tones will be lightened.

In the case of radical metamorphosis, chemical bleaching agents, commonly known as oxidizing agents, should be used. Their name comes from the hydrogen peroxide contained in such a preparation (its concentration depends on the degree of color change). However, it is not recommended to use this method on your own, because poorly selected cosmetics and an incorrectly assessed condition of the hair can lead to their complete destruction. In such a situation, it is better to go to your favorite hairdresser and entrust the treatment to professionals.

However, if you want to lighten your hair by just 1-2 tones, then you can safely do it yourself at home. What's more, everyday natural ingredients and...regularity are often enough to achieve the desired effect!

Ways to lighten hair at home

Of course, nothing prevents you from using chemical cosmetics available in pharmacies or hairdressers to lighten your hair at home. In such a situation, however, it is worth taking care of their condition before the procedure. When it is carried out, it is imperative to follow the manufacturer's recommendations - especially regarding the proportions and exposure time of the drug on the hair.

After bleaching, it is worth remembering to thoroughly nourish and moisturize the strands and scalp, as this procedure has a drying effect on the scalp. Another solution is to use ready-made clarifying sprays, such as those from John Frieda. They are more delicate than products containing an oxidizing agent, but in the end you can only count on a color change of 2 tones.

The above solutions are so-called express methods. Their effects are visible after the first application. People looking for a healthier way to transform can use one of the home remedies to lighten hair with natural ingredients.

How to lighten hair at home?

As the name suggests, natural ways to lighten hair do not involve the use of bleach. For this reason, this method does not adversely affect the condition of the strands and scalp, while at the same time giving the effect expected by a person. However, it is worth remembering that its achievement is possible only with the systematic use of this product. Therefore, those interested must be patient. medicinal rush

The first thing to do is medicinal rhubarb, aka medicinal rhubarb. This inconspicuous product is a rich source of many minerals and vitamins, including vitamin A, potassium, magnesium, calcium, and phosphorus. The mixture must be washed off with warm water after about 2 hours. For the best effect, you can combine the ingredients with honey or cassia to create a thick mask. The drug should be applied to the hair immediately after preparation. Best results can be obtained by using it regularly, no more than once a week.

Chamomile itself works in a similar way. Moreover, this feature has a positive effect on the general condition of the hair and scalp, protecting them from excessive oiliness. With Chamomile Rinse, which requires just 500 ml of brewed chamomile, a teaspoon of lemon juice and a tablespoon of honey to create - however, do not overdo it, as excessive use can have the opposite effect, in the form of dry scalp. and strands. Similarly, you can use lemons, which not only brighten, but also stimulate the production of sebum.

Honey also works in a similar way. In addition, this product is an excellent conditioner for dry and dull strands. Before use, dissolve it in water (2 tablespoons per 500 ml of water), then rinse your hair well. The sun's rays are also an indispensable tool for lightening hair. This is one of the most beautiful and effective "procedures" because the effects are very natural. However, in such a situation, you need to remember about the proper care of the strands, and most importantly, about moisturizing them. The sun can dry them out a lot. cinnamon

A way to achieve this effect can also be the use of cinnamon, but in this case, care must be taken. This product may irritate the skin and conjunctiva, sometimes even causing burns. A mask of cinnamon and half a glass of liquid honey should be applied to the hair, avoiding rubbing into the scalp. Moreover, up to 3 teaspoons of this product can be used to prepare it. All this should not be kept on the head for more than 15 minutes. However, the effect may not be satisfactory for everyone. Cinnamon likes to leave reddish reflections on the hair.
