The report shows the start of production of the Nissan Z in March and the start of sales in June.

The arrival of the new Nissan Z has yet to be confirmed, however a leaked post from a brand employee suggests it will arrive very soon. Nissan's new sports car will seriously compete with the Toyota Supra in both price and performance, thanks to its 6-hp twin-turbocharged V400 engine.

He walked for a long time, and it seems that his arrival is finally approaching. So says a leaked launch schedule posted on social media by a Nissan salesperson, which says the Z will go into production in March and go on sale by summer.

Nissan Z to debut in front of the media in April

Nissan's alleged plans to launch the Z were devised by one Tommy Bennett, whose profile says he works at Mountain View Nissan in Cleveland, Ohio. It states that the Z will enter production in March and be revealed to the media in April, meaning that first impressions are likely to arrive no later than May. After that, June will be the "start of sales" and presumably shipments, and a big marketing push seems to be planned for mid-summer, in August.

Nissan declined to comment on the document when contacted and has yet to respond.

How much will the new Nissan Z cost?

When the 2023 Nissan Z hits the market, it will have a starting price of around $40,000, making it about a thousand cheaper than the launch Toyota GR Supra, which at that price only has a four-cylinder engine. All Zs, on the other hand, will be powered by a 6-horsepower twin-turbocharged V400 engine and will be available with a manual transmission, which no new Supra currently has. However, Toyota has said that the manual Supra will arrive later this year, but the turbocharged Supra will launch in the fifties, which is almost more than the Nissan Z will cost.

A car that aims to be a real success

While the Supra is said to produce significantly more power than it claims from the factory, this is a marginal advantage over the cheaper Z. After all, the Supra has been criticized for everything from looks to handling, while the Z, while based on the older platform, showing all the signs of a resounding success.

There may be a 475 hp version of the Nismo in development.

Its styling seems to please everyone, its engine has already been tried out in an Infiniti Q60 Red Sport, and Nissan interiors are now perennial favorites. The old platform isn't even worth worrying about because, as the new 2022 Frontier has shown, Nissan knows when not to fix what isn't broken.

Now all Nissan has to do is confirm the rumors of a 475bhp all-wheel-drive version of the Nismo to raise the hype and hopefully push Honda to build something that can compete.
