The 100% EV market is expected to reach 2,2 million vehicles by year 2025.

Best years for the electric and hybrid car market are yet to come, according to a recent report by Jato, an institute specializing in automotive research. 2025 million vehicles per year will be registered in 5,5 of which 40% or 2,2 million are fully electric and 60% or 3,3 million are battery hybrids.

Encouraging numbers

It is clear that the numbers are constantly growing. In 2014, sales of electric vehicles have already grown by 43% compared to 2013 and reached 280 units worldwide. By 000, 2016 vehicles will certainly be exceeded, and by 350 the 000 million mark should be easily surpassed.

Market dominated by China

According to Yato's report, the success of electric vehicles will come mainly from plug-in hybrid vehicles, as they will occupy up to 60% of the market. In 2022, China will meet more than half of the demand, with an estimated sales of 2,9 million units (combined electric and plug-in hybrid), followed by Europe with 1,7 million, followed by the US with 800 EVs.

Sale for the benefit of the environment

Along with Yato's predictions, the UN is announcing a revival of concentration in major cities by 2030. If we turn to their estimates, then about 40 cities will have about ten million inhabitants. This should prompt the authorities to promote the purchase of green electric vehicles in order to reduce air pollution.
