First look at Kalina 2 with a gun

A few days ago I decided to go to a car dealership and look at the new Kalina, which is equipped with a 21126 engine and an automatic gearbox. I don't know why Avtovaz decided that, but for some reason the new power unit 21127 was not paired with an automatic transmission, a strange decision, in my opinion.

So, in the cabin in front of me there appeared such an instance of a rather interesting body color:

This modification, although it has a “luxury” package, but to be honest, the interior trim does not say anything about it. The seats, as they were, have remained simple and boring, without sensible lateral support, which, by the way, was promised to us by representatives of the plant before the release of the car.

The upholstery of the seats is quite cheap, and if you find fault, you can even say that on the first berry it was made of a higher quality material.

As for the interior facing of the doors, everything is even worse here than it was before. If in the old models there were small fabric inserts and the plastic was a little soft, then there is already a minimum of fabric (in the suite) and the plastic is just oak.

Now about the dashboard. She certainly looks much nicer than she was before, and she cannot take away modernity. But for some reason there is no engine temperature sensor (coolant) and instead of the old electric control of the headlights, they again installed a hydrocorrector. Why was this done, one wonders?

The new climate control unit is at a height, there is nothing to complain about, it is made more interesting than in the previous model, and the control is much more pleasant, without sharp clicks and unnecessary efforts, everything switches.

I was also pleased with the multimedia system, which is installed on a complete set with automatic transmission from the factory, and it can even read video files, which is also a big plus:

The appearance of the car, especially the front, has become much prettier than it was before, due to the new bumper, hood and optics shape:

Now a few words about the automatic transmission. There are already quite a few reviews from real owners who, in principle, were satisfied with this new transmission. But some have complaints about the dynamics, but this is not surprising for the machine, you have to put up with it. Also, there are problems with the brake light frog, and it is because of this that the engine malfunction lamp, the familiar “Check”, may light up.

In total, for 450 rubles with options such as automatic transmission, ABS + BAS, multimedia system and many other bells and whistles, the new Kalina 000 can easily compete with its classmates.
