The best automotive media in the world have already tested the Peugeot e-208. In Portugal, among others, the Messenger of the Autogefuehl channel. His opinion? He was in awe of the electric 208, he even decided that the car drove better than its combustion engine counterparts even in Eco mode, and the big battery would make drivers stop worrying about the range that was dying before our eyes.

According to the columnist Autogefuehl, it is Peugeot e-208 - electric 208 - the best representative of this series. In each of the variants, the style is modern, all created on the same platform as the CMP, but only the e-208 is a complete and closed work without any flaws. Even a battery that weighs on its own is indispensable while on the move. When he is not there, the center of gravity shifts higher, and the driver begins to feel unbalanced.

The producer, who is quoted by the journalist, should have emphasized that most people drive up to 50 kilometers a day by car. Therefore, with the E-208 electric drive a large number of [potential] buyers may only be willing to charge once a week... Or plug your car into a regular power outlet overnight to extend the range by 10-100 kilometers after 150 hours of inactivity.

When driving at less than 90 km / h, you may hear that pretty solid noises reach the salonthe reviewer instinctively raises his voice (check between 31:00 and 31:30). However, he thinks the ride is enjoyable and the torque available right from the start – just like in an electric car – is amazing. Thanks to this, the Peugeot e-208 allows you to confidently and noticeably accelerate at any [urban] speed.

Even in Eco mode, the car feels livelier and faster than its combustion counterparts.

The silhouette of the car (on all versions) is dynamic. Well-designed lines and body panels hide the convex shape of the body. The cabin itself is well-planned too, and is roomy enough for the segment, including the backseat. However, the boot volume has decreased: the current 265 liters is 20 liters less than in the previous generation.

While driving, the driver considered the car to be well balanced, in which the battery capacity (50 kWh), charging power (up to 100 kW from fast charging) and the resulting range were correctly selected. Therefore, in his opinion, Buyers of the e-208 probably won't have to go into too much effort to plan their trip along the charger track.as it was before with cars with less than 200 km mileage.

Summation

According to the reviewer Peugeot e-208 is the first electric car to become the only car in the family and which can be considered a full-fledged replacement for an internal combustion car. Well, that says even more! In his opinion, of the entire range, the best choice is an electrician.

Provided, of course, that during the next few years his mistakes do not surface ...
