Why car DVR owners need to carry garlic with them

If the car DVR does not work by itself, there's nothing you can do about it: repair it or throw it in the trash. But we are talking about another common problem, because of which it is simply impossible to use a useful device. We are talking about a situation where the registrar is either poorly or not at all kept on the windshield of the car. The AvtoVzglyad portal reveals a “folk life hack” that can radically solve the problem.

It seems that I installed the DVR on the glass, everything is fine, but at some unpredictable moment - bang - together with the bracket, it flies to the floor of the car with a roar. The suction cup came off! To solve the problem of a falling recorder, it is recommended to first clean the surface of the windshield in the place where the suction cup of the device is supposed to be attached. There may be an inconspicuous layer of dirt - dust, plaque from tobacco smoke, or something similar. Particles of this "goodness" do not allow the suction cup to fit snugly against the glass, and sooner or later it falls off. Removing this "good" from the glass sometimes improves the reliability of the installation of the registrar.

If this method does not cure the gadget from falls, pay attention to the suction cup itself. Perhaps, for some reason, its material has lost its elasticity - “hardened”, to put it simply. Because of this, it cannot properly adhere to the glass and support the weight of the bracket with the recorder. Sometimes a silicone-based lubricant helps to restore the flexibility of the plastic of the suction cup. By the way, it can not only make the surface layer of the suction cup material more flexible, but also, by filling in the microroughness of the surface, additionally seal the cavity between it and the glass.

However, often these methods do not work. For example - in winter, when the registrar's sucker, frozen overnight, is smeared with anything and pressed against the glass with any force - it is still so hard that it refuses to cling to the "front".

Or it turns out that the curvature of the windshield itself at the installation site of the DVR is so great that it does not allow the suction cup to cling to itself properly.

It turns out that a car owner who still wants to drive with a DVR will have to “collective farm” something to mount it on the plastic of the front panel, or “tightly” stick the suction cup to the windshield without the possibility of ever removing it without damage and traces of glue. Or, if you are not ready for such sacrifices, give up the “regica” in the car.

But there is a folk remedy with which you can securely fix the registrar and not spoil the interior of the car. To do this, before installing the bracket with a suction cup, we take one “clove” of garlic, press it until juice appears, lubricate the suction cup with this liquid, and then install it on the glass. A few minutes later, when our “organic glue” dries up, we mount the DVR on the bracket and forget about its sudden falls forever.

The beauty of garlic glue is that, having good adhesive properties, it is perfectly washed off with water. So, if necessary, the trace of the glued suction cup can be easily removed from the glass with an ordinary damp cloth.
