Why do you flood spark plugs with oil?

If the piston rings become worn, a pumping effect is formed. This means that oil is sucked into the combustion chamber after the engine starts to work. The flow of fluid does not stop for a long time until the engine stalls completely.
If the spark plugs of a gasoline engine are filled with oil, then there may be several reasons for this. This phenomenon leads to the fact that the car stalls or does not start at all, so the problem must be fixed as soon as possible.
Causes of oil on spark plugs
Many car owners are familiar with the situation when, after a successful trip, the car was put in a locked garage, but the next morning the engine would not start. Or the engine started working well on a cold one, but then suddenly stalled. At the same time, the starter is working, and there is enough gasoline.
The reason for this may be throwing gasoline on the spark plugs. After a while the engine starts again. It seems that the problem was solved by itself, but it is not. The situation may repeat itself later.

If the spark plugs are filled with oil, then the cause may be in the intake valves. A gap appears between the element shaft and the guide bushing in case of wear without replacement for a long time. Then the backlash allows the oil to flow from the block directly to the candles.

Seals can leak fluid. There are several reasons for this:
- when the engine overheats, the crimping part tans;
- a compression spring has come off the surface of the stuffing box body;
- the position of the element on the guide bush has changed.
If the bushings are badly worn, then the valve does not work well. It does not close the edge, which becomes a reason for pouring on candles. Installation specialists advise changing not the seals, but the valve guides. Otherwise it will cause abrasion due to the inlet parts.

Signs of worn rings:
- traces of oil on candle threads;

Clogged oil system ventilation
Spark plugs are filled with oil when the cause is a malfunction associated with the state of the oil system.
Variants of all 2:
- The oil level is too high - the cause was fluid overflow.
- The level has been exceeded due to a malfunction requiring the ventilation system to be dismantled.
If you simply overfilled the fluid when you refueled, then this problem is easy to fix. It is enough to pump out excess fluid and restart the engine.
In the event that the oil level rises due to the ingress of coolant, a complete diagnosis of the system will be required. Unfortunately, coolant injection may indicate the need for a complete or partial engine repair.
Oil in candle wells
If liquid enters the candle wells, then related problems arise:
- the engine fails some time after the start, loses power;
- oil and fuel are consumed faster;
- exhaust becomes more toxic;
- the fuel mixture ignites spontaneously;
- driving dynamics is unstable.
These phenomena must be eliminated as quickly as possible in order to minimize losses. In addition, heavy oiling of the spark plugs often leads to the shutdown of one of the cylinders, which, in turn, threatens to stop the engine and premature engine wear.
Carbon deposits on spark plugs
If the spark plugs are filled with oil, then the cause must be found and eliminated. Liquid on the threads leads to additional difficulties, from stopping the engine to premature aging of other ancillary parts.
