Spain Post tests electric tricycles

In Spain, Correos has just begun testing a fleet of electric tricycles powered by the Continental 48-volt system.

For the Spanish group, it is about experimenting with a solution in pedestrian zones and city centers, where access for conventional vehicles is becoming increasingly difficult.

The Correos electric tricycle, specially designed for use in the post office, has a body that provides a cargo volume of up to 550 liters and has a range of up to 60 kilometers. It weighs only 38 kg without load.

Tested since January 2018 in five Spanish cities – Seville, Madrid, Málaga, Córdoba and Málaga – Correos electric tricycles can be quickly rolled out to other cities if the results of the experiment are convincing.
