Selection of ENI oils

I work in a car repair shop and have many years of experience besides car repairs. Also my driving experience is over 10 years. In this article I will try to tell you how to choose a motor lubricant for your car and cover many types of oils from ENI

Welcome to another installment of our car demystification series in which we demystify eight common misconceptions about engine oil. This time I will talk about ENI fats.

Selection of ENI oils

A few words about the company

ENI is working to create a future where everyone can access energy resources efficiently and sustainably.

The work of the energy company ENI is based on passion and innovation, unique strengths and abilities, the quality of people and the recognition that diversity in all aspects of our activities and organization is something valuable.

Myth 1 - You need to change every 5000 km

But it is not. This largely depends on your engine and the type of ENI oil you are using, as well as the conditions and driving style.

Myth 2 - change engine oil before a trip

But it's not. If you know you'll need to replace it during your trip, it doesn't hurt to do so sooner rather than later.

Eni's new category of oils includes lubricants of all kinds for the lubrication of industrial equipment, such as hydraulic oils, turbine oils, compressor oils, bearing oils and industrial gear oils.

Among all these categories, the largest part is made up of hydraulic oils, which are used in hydraulic control systems of construction equipment, industrial enterprises, etc.

3 Myth - Using additives will improve performance

An old story about oils that goes around in many auto shops and enthusiast groups is the benefits of using additives. Many drivers have reportedly noticed improvements in engine smoothness, response, and even fuel economy with additives.

But there is no concrete evidence that additives actually make your engine run better. It's all in your head, the placebo effect, so to speak.

ENI does not recommend the use of additives because its engine oils contain the necessary additives to provide reliable protection for your engine. If additional additives are included, they can cause chemical imbalances and adversely affect the performance of your engine.

4 Myth

You should buy high performance ENI engine oils as they are better than all other types.

Not all vehicles require high performance engine oils. Yes, they help to some extent, but not much. Think of it this way: filling a multi-purpose vehicle with 98 octane fuel will not significantly improve its performance.

Brief notes

The Information Notes cover the activities of the Petroleum Development Company, owned by Nigeria Ltd (operator of the NNPC Total Agip joint venture), Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) and Nigeria Gas Limited (SNG).

Yeni Petroleum Development has spent a total of NN 17 billion on Global Memorandum of Understanding (GMoU) clusters in Rivers State, providing communities with an invaluable opportunity to make decisions and implement projects and programs that have a lasting impact on people's lives.

By the way, we just serviced our Ford Fiesta, including an oil change. Two weeks later, a message appeared: "Oil change" and an indicator appeared on the control panel.

The warning light on the dash was a yellow oil can with a wavy line at the bottom. This light may indicate that your oil is contaminated with diesel fuel.

You can turn off that pesky light and text yourself without having to go back to the garage (we're not responsible if there's a problem).

To reset the oil change warning light:

  1. Turn on the ignition (not the engine).
  2. Press and hold the brake and accelerator for twenty seconds until the warning light goes out.

Modern technologies and oil development systems

ENI has long focused on performance and the company is proud of its association with motorsport. As the Official Motor Oil of Nascar and also the Official Lubricant Partner of Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, their oils are pushed to the limit time and time again and the ability to study the impact of these stresses on their products is undeniable.

In our research, we also found that ENIs are also among the best oils when it comes to keeping low viscosity at low temperatures.

What we find most interesting is their recent focus on adapting oils to work better with turbocharged engines, which are becoming more common in new cars lately.

However, ENI oil consumption is a major concern for turbocharged vehicles and the company seems to be paying close attention to it.

Selection of ENI oils

Our top pick

ENI fully synthetic engine oil as it is available in numerous formulations on the market for new and older vehicles.

The founder of ENI is actually considered the creator of motor oil, so to say that the brand has a history would be an understatement. Starting with steam engines and then supplying motor oil for the Model T, this was just the beginning.

If your engine has 125 km or less, you can register your car in the program, which, based on a set of entry requirements, will mean ENI will give your engine a small warranty if you keep an eye on your oil.

As for the company's high viscosity oil, you don't have to worry about it failing or being unsafe for your machine. Like other more expensive brands of oils, ENI engine oil is approved by Dexos1 Gen 2, API SN and ILSAC GF-5.

The Forbes magazine founder said he used the brand for his last oil change and "didn't notice any difference in performance, power or mileage" compared to the more expensive motor oils he uses regularly.

Past and Future

For over fifty years, ENI has been a competitive, innovative and successful brand. His successes and victories in motorsport are proof of this.

After years of research and innovation dedicated to motorsport competitions and partnerships with major car manufacturers, ENI highlights its expertise in providing you with the highest quality lubricants for your engine.
