Maintain your Pinlock®

Pinlock® is very useful in winter to prevent helmet fogging. However, as with any accessory, it needs to be taken care of if you want it to last long.

Adjust Pinlock® over time

After a while, your Pinlock® will retract. To expand your Pinlock®, there are small pins on the screen that allow you to adjust it. These pads for attaching screens anti fog eccentrically set to tighten when your film begins to retract. By turning the pins, you provide a better seal Pinlock® on the screen even over time.

Peel off the anti-fog film

You will see this in circulation, Pinlock® very fragile and scratches quickly. Therefore, you must handle it very carefully.

To clean up your Pinlock®, there is nothing easier: only warm water. Obviously, before you can clean it, you will have to disassemble it. To do this, first disassemble the screen, flatten it and remove the film.

After your Pinlock® has been disassembled, simply rinse it under warm water without any cleaning agents that might harm it. If you cannot clean it to your liking, you can exceptionally add mild soap to warm water and clean it with a very soft cloth. Just leave it outdoors to dry.

After cleaning, collect your Pinlock® and voila!

Finally, you should know that the anti-fogging film will have a maximum lifespan of two years depending on your usage - from 6 months to 2 years. After this period, you may see fog reappear inside the screen, this is a sign of wear and tear.
