Usually, the car's cigarette lighter socket is already occupied because a phone charger or other device is connected to it. Ceiling light connection
If the recorder is mounted in the upper part of the windshield, then it is most convenient to connect it to the power supply in the ceiling light. Installation process:

Connecting to a radio tape recorder
This is a simpler solution, since the radio also requires 5 V to power the radio. To connect the recorder to the radio, you do not need to use a power supply or adapter. It is enough to find the power wire on the radio block, for this they use a multimeter, to which the DVR is connected.
From battery
If you choose this option, then you need to prepare a long wire, as well as a 15 A fuse. The connection sequence will be the same as when connecting to the plafond.
The wire from the recorder is hidden under the casing and taken out to the battery. Be sure to install a fuse. Pay special attention to polarity so as not to damage the device. A voltage converter must be installed between the battery and the recorder.
To the ignition switch
This is not a very popular connection method. Its disadvantage is that the recorder works only when the ignition is on. It is enough with the help of a tester to find a plus at the terminal of the ignition switch, and a minus can be taken at any convenient place. In this case, it is also necessary to install a voltage converter in the circuit.

To connect the recorder to the fuse box, you will need to purchase a special splitter. Its peculiarity is that it has a place for installing two fuses. A regular fuse is inserted into the lower socket, and the fuse of the connected device is inserted into the upper socket, to which the adapter is connected, and already the DVR is connected to it.
