The suspension link is the mechanical part that connects the body to the Frame car. It is sometimes referred to as the anti-roll bar link. Changing a suspension link is not an easy task. Reserved for experienced mechanics, it must absolutely be done correctly so as not to endanger the stability of the vehicle. A poorly done suspension link replacement will cause parallelism and geometry problems.

Step 1: disassemble the wheel
Raise the vehicle onto a bridge or jack. Jack the vehicle for safety. Then you can loosen the nuts and disassemble the wheel... It is necessary to disassemble the wheels on both sides. Beware cable ABS sensor ; feel free to remove the part that holds it.
Step 2: Disassemble the suspension link
Using a wrench, loosen the suspension link bolts. There is a bolt at the top and another one at the bottom. Use an iron or screwdriver to remove the link from the antiroll bar... Be careful not to let your hand drag; the bar will suddenly rise and you risk getting caught in your hand!
Step 3: Replace the suspension link
Once the old link is removed, set a new link... Pry with a tire iron or screwdriver. Pay attention to the direction of the link. When the link is in place, replace and tighten the bolts. Let's start with top bolt before making the bottom one.
Step 4: assemble the wheel
When the suspension bolts are attached, put the parts back ABS sensor... Replace wheels and their nuts. Replace the bolt covers. Then you can lower the vehicle from the supports.

The suspension link is not a very expensive part. The price of a suspension link is between 10 and 40 € O. If you also need to change the anti-roll bar, add on average 70 €including labor costs.
