UAZ-452

VAZ-2120

VAZ-2120 is an all-wheel drive minivan, known under the beautiful name "Hope". From 1998 to 2006, 8 thousand copies were produced. Unfortunately, production stopped at this point due to a serious backlog in terms of price / quality. But, looking at the photo and reading about the technical characteristics, we understand that Nadezhda could have been justified:

• 4-door minivan with 7 seats;
• four-wheel drive;
• 600 kg load capacity.

Nadezhda reached speeds of up to 140 km / h and consumed 10 liters in the combined cycle, which is not much for a car weighing 1400 kg or 2 tons at full load. Due to the low level of sales at AvtoVAZ, it was decided to stop production and all attention was paid to the development of the famous Russian SUV VAZ-2131 (five-door Niva).

An even worse fate awaited an all-wheel drive domestic minivan based on the UAZ Patriot - UAZ-3165 "Simba". It could become a full-fledged and more affordable replacement for many foreign counterparts. It was assumed that "Simba" will be designed for 7-8 passenger seats, and the model with an extended overhang will accommodate 13 passengers. However, only a few prototypes were produced and the project was closed, hopefully temporarily.
